Asacol Tablets 400mg (100 Tabs)
Asacol is a popular anti-inflammatory drug, which prevents the body from producing substances known for causing inflammation, stomach pain, rectal bleeding, tissue damage and diarrhoea. Asacol is often used to treat inflammatory bowel diseases such as ulcerative colitis and mild to moderate Crohns disease.
Asacol prevents the production of several chemicals known to cause inflammation. It also prevents the migration of inflammatory cells into the intestine wall, and acts as an antioxidant, protecting the intestine walls from cell damage. Asacol is covered in a resin that delays reaction until it reaches the furthest part of the small intestine,ξallowingξAsacol to act at the site of inflammation.
Take with a glass of water, swallowed whole, with or without food, preferably before a meal. Consult your doctor for appropriate dosage information.
