Lovir Tablets is favoured by many victims of the herpes virus. It is used to treat symptoms of the virus, such as infections of the skin and mucous membranes. Over time Lovir Tablets will help heal blisters and sores leaving smoother healthier skin.
Lovir Tablets can also be used to treat Cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection (following a bone marrow transplant) and help manage the symptoms of HIV AIDS infection.
Lovir Tablets work by blocking viral DNA synthesis without affecting normal cellular processes. This stops the virus from growing and spreading, relieving some of the infections,symptoms and helping the body fight back.
Although Lovir Tablets will not cure a herpes infection, it will reduce the pain caused by the virus and help skin infections to heal faster.

Aciclovir – an antiviral agent an antiviral agent used to treat infection with herpes simplex
Sodium starch glycolate
Pregelatinised maize starch
Colloidal anhydrous silica
Take tablets with a glass of water, with or without food
Usual dose is every 6 hours (4-5 times a day), but consult your doctor for your individual dosage information.
Side effects may include:
Dizziness and change in liver function tests, especially with long-term therapy
Do not use Livor Tablets if you:
Are allergic to any of the ingredients
Are pregnant or breastfeeding
Have kidney disease, liver disease, any blood condition, or conditions affecting your brain
Consult your doctor before taking Livor Tablets if you are taking other medication.
