Oracort Dental Paste 1% 5g is widely recommended for treating oral tenderness, pain and inflammation.
Triamcinolone acetonide is the primary ingredient in the paste, which belongs to the group of medicines known as corticosteroids. The medicine provides anti-inflammatory, anti-itch and anti-allergic properties aimed at relieving mouth pain and fighting off infection.
When Oracort Dental Paste is applied to the inside of the mouth it acts as an adhesive. The two benefits of this is that the paste keeps the medicine in close contact with the lesion, while providing the lesion with a protective coating to prevent against any further infection.
